Why Koala Models Agency is not a scam?

In the age of computerization and new technologies, doubt arises between old and new business models, since the latter come to replace their predecessors, generating fear and despair in their wake.

This is the case of the Koala Models Agency, a platform that comes to replace the old and outdated traditional agencies. Among all this fauna of new competitors, misgivings emerge strongly. But why?

This reminds me of the time of the Luddites.

According to Wikipedia:

The Luddites were a secret oath-based organization of English textile workers in the 19th century, a radical faction which destroyed textile machinery as a form of protest. The group was protesting against manufacturers who used machines in what they called “a fraudulent and deceitful manner” to get around standard labor practices. Luddites feared that the time spent learning the skills of their craft would go to waste, as machines would replace their role in the industry. Over time, the term has come to mean one opposed to industrialisation, automation, computerisation, or new technologies in general. The Luddite movement began in Nottingham in England and culminated in a region-wide rebellion that lasted from 1811 to 1816. Mill and factory owners took to shooting protesters and eventually the movement was suppressed with legal and military force.

I am surprised to see some comments from haters who intend to get dedicated services for free and if they do not, do not hesitate to rant online. It is the new era of equality 2.0
Scam allegations, fraud, outrageous comments against color or plus size models.

Fear of change is normal, but this fear is not going to prevent an incipient transformation at a time when business goes electronic through smart contracts, and now even more with an uncertain future where social distancing will end up tilting the balance next to the future.

Upfluence is a self-service influencer discovery platform, targeting influencers on all of the main social channels, including Instagram, as well as the blogosphere. It comes at a comparatively low cost compared to many of its competitors, bringing it into the realms of small and medium-sized businesses.

2. Influencer Marketing Agency (IMA)

As IMA’s full name suggests, the firm specializes in assisting brands to tell their story with the help of influencers. It is a full-service digital agency, with Instagram being one of the platforms they use to get their clients’ messages across.

3. Koala Models Agency

Apps Fashion Designers need to Have

If you’re in school for fashion design or are looking to become a fashion designer on your own, there are certain tools you should have in your arsenal. In today’s digital age, it’s imperative that you have access to fashion design software to make your ideas and sketches a tangible reality. Take your creative renderings from paper to promotable models with the right program and technological savvy. Many fashion students use Adobe Illustrator to take their designs into the digital space, but there are other fashion design software programs that can prove beneficial. We’ve highlighted four of the top offerings below. Head below to see the best fashion design software on the market.

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe’s dominance has made it almost impossible to work without using Creative Suite. Designers use Illustrator to draw flat sketches with callouts for construction and styling details. Then these are used in tech packs so the team and manufacturers can easily understand and follow.

There are great resources available for Illustrator newbies. You can join free webinars and classes at Fashion Classroom or Sew Heidi, for instance. But there are many more, youtube alone has a myriad of free tutorials. Another options is to take lots of photos if you’d rather not do functional sketches… I made this quick attempt to create a tech pack (specification) without using illustrator in less than 5 minutes…

Pantone Color Finder

Pantone’s innovative system of matching, communicating and identifying colors has made it easier for designers to work together with manufacturers. But, as with everything digital, there are more efficient ways to find that colour you need without it being super time consuming:

If you are a Google Chrome or Firefox user, this simple extension with Color Picker and Eye Dropper will assist you finding color reading as RGB. You can then use Pantone’s Color Finder to translate into the nearest Pantone number. You can also use Pantone color App for i-phones and Android based phones where once a photo is chosen the Pantone Color App exports color values directly.

Slack

Slack is a communication platform that allows team members to work in organized groups or easily searchable one-on-one conversation threads. Slack has been widely adopted by both smaller and larger teams, and unlike those boring and ugly softwares, it brings a fresh approach to sharing files and communication.

I hope that by using these tools, you’ll get through your work faster and go home early to spend quality time with your family, pets and loved ones. Any apps and tools that I missed? We’d love to learn about your favorite ones! Shoot us an email or comment below.

Designing Clothes

Fashion design is an exciting, constantly evolving field. It also takes a lot of work, and can be incredibly competitive. If you want to become a successful fashion designer, you have a long road ahead of you, but there are some straightforward steps you can take to begin the process of designing clothes, regardless of whether or not you want to do this for a living.

Learn about design.

If you want to produce innovative designs, you have to know about design theory.] Molly Bang’s book Picture This: How Pictures Work is a great place to start. It will help you learn to think like a designer.

  • Don’t limit yourself to studying fashion design exclusively. The principles of design theory apply across all sorts of disciplines. It may surprise you how much studying something like typography can teach you about fashion design.[

Learn about drawing.

You don’t need to be a master illustrator; a lot of designers use a funky personal style when they design. That said, you do need to be able to communicate your vision visually. Take a drawing class, study some books, or just practice, practice, practice.]

  • The most important part of learning any new skill is just doing it a lot. Set aside 30 minutes every day to practice drawing.
  • A good book to reference is Mark Kistler’s You Can Draw in 30 Days

Learn about fashion.

If you want to design clothes, you may want to learn all you can about the world of fashion. You may think of yourself as a very stylish person, but knowing how to dress yourself well is only the tip of the iceberg.[ If you are designing based on what is hot right now, by the time your design is complete it might already be out of style. Professional fashion designers are constantly thinking ahead, to what the next big thing will be.[

  • Watch videos or look at pictures from high-profile fashion shows online, or go in person if one is happening near where you live. Professional designers design their seasonal collections months in advance, so these shows can give you an idea of what kinds of trends will be trickling down into commercial fashion in the future.

Sounds simple, right? OK, not exactly. But the internet is a wonderful place (at least it can be), and there are more resources available than ever to help you get started, from YouTube tutorials demonstrating sketching techniques to in-depth interviews with designers discussing how they got to the top of their field (and, just as importantly, how they navigated all the bumps along the way).

HOW TO BE AN INFLUENCER

What is an influencer?

Top social media influencers share how they make money with brands and spill how they make a living through brand partnerships on social channels including YouTube and Instagram.

Many aspiring influencers struggle with getting started, creating consistent content, and growing and monetizing channels. However, they’re not alone. Even the world’s largest influencers have encountered these same challenges, and many have shared their advice with us. Here, we’ve compiled the best tips on how to become an influencer from dozens of top creators.

1. Capitalize on Your Uniqueness

What makes you different than everyone else on this earth? That’s what you need to focus on and be willing to show everyone! This is what makes you special, sets you a part and makes an impact. Maybe you’re a comedian, have a rare condition, or can touch your tongue to your elbow (dare you to try it!)

2. Invest in a high quality camera or photographer

Having quality images makes all the difference on Instagram. Brands are looking for the best of the best to accurately represent their products, services and locations. Because of this, they’re not likely to work with someone who struggles to capture quality images so you definitely need to make this a priority!

3. Document, Don’t Create

As the social media mogul, Gary Vaynerchuk says, “document, don’t create”. When he says this he’s encouraging everything you do to be content for your social media channels. Eating breakfast at a swanky spot? Share it on Instagram Stories! Having a business meeting with a potential client? Record it and turn it into a youtube video! Doing a photoshoot? Share the best images to Instagram and the outtakes to an Instagram story!

4. Don’t Be Shy

Want to become an Instagram Influencer? Well then ditch any insecurities you have and get ready to BARE IT ALL. The most successful Instagram influencers today are the ones that let their audience in. That share all the ups, downs, good’s and bad’s of their lives. By being open, honest and truly yourself, you create a space that makes people comfortable, trusting and happy to connect.
